Zebra Midge

The Zebra Midge is a simple yet deadly effective pattern designed to imitate midge larvae—one of the most consistent food sources for trout in both rivers and stillwaters. It shines in slow‑moving or calm water where midges are especially abundant.

Tied on small hooks, typically in sizes #14–24, the pattern uses little more than thread, fine wire, and a touch of peacock herl, finished with a small bead to help it sink.
